An Eventful Saturday

NSET Godfather

We are fortunate enough in Reno to have a non-profit running club. The founder, Coach Ski, felt that people should not have to pay to “get off the couch and out the door”. He has done so much for so many runners that we wanted to celebrate and his birthday was the perfect opportunity. My friend Anya, who set-up the whole thing, created a sneaky plan to have Ski plan his own party. She told him that it was a post CIM party so when he would send out emails about it she would quickly follow with the surprise party details. The theme was NSET godfather and everyone took part it making it a great surprise. (My job was to bake the cake, pictures below).

Ski started running so he could eat whatever he wanted without worrying about it and because there were health benefits. He has ran 110 marathons including 17 Boston’s and 20 California Internationals with his quickest marathon at 3 hours.

Thank you Ski for all the dedication and support!

Coney Island Ugly Sweater Party

Every year my friend Kevin throws an Ugly Sweater party at the Coney Island Bar on 4th street. Luckily this year we were able to go. There was a DJ, karaoke, drinks and of course ugly sweaters (thanks Shayna- if there was a prize I would have won:)!
